The medical professionals at Anderson Bariatric Physicians invite you to make a smart choice that can truly change your life.
Our physician prescribes only FDA approved medications. Drugs used in weight loss and management are known as “anorectics” or appetite suppressants. There are several types and strengths available; however, the most common are Phentermine, Diethylpropion, and Phendimetrazine. Our physician will access your individual case and prescribe a medication that will reduce your appetite to help manage your caloric intake, along with complete information on these beneficial medications
Lipo-Mino Mix starts with a special lipotropics fat burning combination of methionine, inositol, choline, carnitine and B12. Each of these ingredients help the body turn fat into energy and are also powerful antioxidants. In addition to the Lipotropics blend, Lipo-Mino also contains a mixture of B vitamins which further help facilitate fat loss and increase energy. The formula is then completed by adding ingredients to reduce appetite, build muscle and promote a healthy immune system.
Methionine 12.4mg: Helps break down sugars and carbohydrates and convert to energy.
Inositol 25mg: Converts food to energy.
Choline 25mg: Healthy nerve cells, cuts muscle recovery time, helps convert fat to energy.
Hydroxocobalamin (B12) 1,000mcg: Energy, healthy nerve cells.
Thiamine (B1) 50mg: Improves immune system, helps convert fat and carbohydrates into energy.
Riboflavin (B2) 5mg: Increases metabolism, supports immune system.
Pyridoxine (B6) 2mg: Promotes red blood cell production and converts food to energy.
Carnitine 125mg: Improves fat metabolism and energy, reduces recovery time and promotes muscle building potential.
HCG is a hormone secreted by the placenta during pregnancy (the same hormone detected in home pregnancy kits). It was first used to help weight loss after several physicians noted that overweight women lost weight when they were pregnant. Medical studies have shown that when combined with a low-calorie diet and exercise, HCG increases fat-loss and helps with a more rapid loss of inches.
HCG has not been approved by the FDA for weight loss, although it has been approved for the treatment of other medical conditions. Federal laws allow medical providers to use approved drugs for alternative treatments. It is called “Off Label Usage” and occurs quite frequently in the medical profession.
HCG is used in extremely low doses for weight loss. (HCG is used in a much higher dose to increase fertility.) In the small doses we administer, HCG does NOT increase fertility. However, fertility is increased with every five (5) pounds of weight loss! HCG can cause a false positive pregnancy test in urine tests.
Administering HCG Injections
HCG can be administered in our office or in the convenience of your home. The injections are more effective if given at the waist or below. Self-injections should be given only after you have been trained by our staff. We recommend you receive your injections at our office by one of our trained staff until you feel comfortable injecting yourself.
HCG injections may be used with your prescribed appetite suppressant(s) or may be used alone. We recommend adding it to your current plan of treatment. After you begin receiving HCG, hunger cravings are lessened, and you should begin to lose abnormal fat storage from the abdomen, hips, and thighs.
HCG has been shown to decrease inches in the waist area in as few as three days. More common results are inches lost within two to four weeks. Faster results occur when combined with at least thirty minutes of exercise three to five days per week and decreasing your intake of sugar and “bad” carbs, such as white potatoes, white bread and white rice.
Since HCG affects only the abnormal fat, such as “belly fat” or the “spare tire,” a larger number of patients will qualify for this treatment.
HCG Side Effects
Possible side effects include breast tenderness in both genders (1 in 200 patients) and menstrual irregularities in females (1 in 5 patients) – both side effects are temporary and short-lived. Contraindications for use are for women with a history of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or endometrial cancer since HCG is a type of hormone. HCG is not recommended for men with a history of testicular or prostate cancer. The small dosage we administer should not have any detrimental effects with other types of cancer; however, we do not recommend its use.
HCG is not a substitute for exercise. If you do not exercise, fat cells can re-expand, and lost inches can return. Unlike exercise, HCG does not provide muscle and skin toning and conditioning.
HCG has been proven to have a positive effect on mood swings, increased energy levels, relief of back pain and migraines, and more rapid loss of inches.
Other Important HCG Information
There is no time limit on using HCG. You may continue using it after reaching your weight and/or size goal. Many patients use this as part of a maintenance program where it once again has proved very successful.
Treatment with HCG is recommended for patients between the age of 17 years and 75 years.
Current patients at Anderson Bariatric Physicians, P.A., can have HCG injections incorporated into their present treatment plan. If you are not a patient at Anderson Bariatric Physicians, P.A., it will be necessary for you to make an appointment as a new patient.
Our HCG is 100% pure pharmaceutical grade from an FDA approved supplier.
This is an essential vitamin that is water-soluble. It helps in the formation of red blood cells, and in maintenance of the central nervous system. It also aids your body’s metabolism rate, so it is frequently administered as a part of weight loss programs.
This dietary supplement is a great source of vitamins B-6 and B-12 that can help regulate cholesterol levels and diabetes. It can also have a positive effect on mood swings, arm and leg cramps, and low sex drive. It is an effective, commonly prescribed supplement in a well-balanced weight loss regimen.
This weight control formula helps minimize food cravings, reduce cholesterol levels and suppress your appetite. It’s a combination of Chromium and Niacin, which helps regulate your insulin levels in order to burn carbohydrates, fats and proteins more efficiently.
Hair, Skin, and Nails
Appetite suppressants may occasionally cause hair thinning or loss – HAIR, SKIN AND NAILS can help reverse this side effect.
Multivitamins are used to supplement the vitamins and minerals not consumed due to a decrease in the amount of food being eaten – most effective if taken at bedtime, because the minerals are absorbed better.
Some patients choose not to use the prescription medications for sleep, cravings or blocking fat. There are several non-prescription items we recommend that are currently being used successfully by our patients. These supplements can be used safely in conjunction with prescription appetite suppressants.
